Into the Breach lose their final UK piece

After an unsuccessful RMR run, Thomas “Thomas” Utting will return back to the bench of Into the Breach joining Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras and Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier.

In August of last year, Thomas first took a step back as he looked to focus on himself, his performance, and his approach to the game. As many people anticipated, the IGL was brought back into the roster for the PGL CS2 Major Copenhagen 2024 Europe RMR A as he held the RMR spot alongside Karol “rallen” Rodowicz and Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel.

Unfortunately, ITB was a far cry from what they once were at the BLAST Paris Major last year as they failed to get a win and left Bucharest with a 0-3  record. Into the Breach started off the RMR with a tough 13-3 loss to G2, followed by a 13-1 loss to BetBoom, and although they were able to take the first map off French side 3DMAX they were completely shut out on Ancient and Anubis.

Into the Breach is now down to two players on the roster as only rallen and CRUC1AL remain from the Paris Major run. This follows an announcement from Into the Breach towards the end of February where they stated that “we will commit to a new core of the same nationality, whether that be U.K or otherwise, we’re done with mixes.” With the removal of Thomas it now seems unlikely that the new core will be from the UK, but Into the Breach have yet to make any official announcements on this since benching the British IGL.

For Thomas, he will be looking to remain as an IGL, but his new team has yet to be hinted at or announced. He remarked on Twitter: “I’m set on remaining as IGL, I’m looking for like minded individuals who share similar goals on improving / reaching new heights together.”

Into the Breach are looking to rebuild their roster and are currently:

Joey “CRUC1AL” Steusel
Karol “rallen” Rodowicz

Gustavo “Juve” Alexandre (coach, benched)
Aurimas “Bymas” Pipiras (benched)
Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier (benched)
Thomas “Thomas” Utting (benched)

I have been benched in @ITBesports & Allowed to explore opportunities.

What we were able to achieve in ITB was something amazing
